Day 31 of '40 DAYS OF FACING FEARS': pushing past introverted tendencies, multiple times

Some people may know that I'm an extroverted introvert - I can cope with social situations etc but they drain a lot of my energy. If a week has been especially hectic my normal desire is to spend time either by myself or with one or two close friends in order to recharge. Going to a bar, party etc when exhausted can be 'too much' at times.

Initially I'd thought of counting not checking my phone for 4 hours while doing work as a challenge, but it really wasn't that much of a challenge haha.

So, Friday's challenge ended up being: even when exhausted from the week, to commit and keep to plans by going to multiple social events in one night. Going to a friend's leaving drinks and then catching up with another group of friends and going to see 'Beauty and the Beast' (HIGHLY recommend by the way - it's beautiful!!) definitely pushed me outside my comfort zone. By the time I got home c. 10.30pm/11.00pm I felt shattered.

The next challenge followed in the morning: even when tired, waking up at 7.30am to go to an 8am pump (weight lifting) class. Did it!
